The dates for the annual Glenwood Festival have been set for the 9-11 September 2011

FRIDAY 9 SEPTEMBER
At Glenwood Prep School – Glenwood Proms – 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm start – Durban City Orchestra and other special guest performances! Secure parking on school grounds for ticket holders – tickets will be on sale at Glenwood Prep School during school hours (date to be announced)
SATURDAY 10 SEPTEMBER
At Stella Club – Life Entabeni Hospital 5 km Fun Run & Walk – Hosted by Dave Guselli of East Coast Radio
· 7.00 am – Registration starts at Stella Club – Entry Fee U18 – R5, 18 and over – R10
· 8.00 am – Fun Run & Walk starts opposite Stella Club, in Bulwer Park
· Finish at Stella Club – clowns, free blood pressure and cholesterol testing, lots of giveaways!
· 11.30 am – Prize-giving at Glenwood Prep
At Bulwer Park
· 10.00 am to 11.00 am – Waltons “Back to School” Treasure Hunt / Clowns in the Park ( FREE ENTRY for all 5 km Fun Run & Walk participants – Other participants must register and pay in Bulwer Park – Fee R5 ) Over 100 PRIZES to be won!
At Davenport Square Shopping Centre
· School Art Display
At Glenwood Prep School – Hosted by Dave Guselli of East Coast Radio
· 8.00 am to 2.00 pm – Annual Chess Challenge (invited schools only )
· 8.00 am to 1.00 pm – Camelot College Market Day (food, tombola, etc )
· 9:00 am to 12:00 pm – Palettes at Glenwood Prep (Artists in Action )
· 9:00 am to 12:00 pm – Pre-School Fun morning – Childrens’ Games, Jumping Castles, other activities
· 11.30 am to 11.45 am – Prize-giving – 5 km Fun Run & Walk and Treasure Hunt main prizes
· 11.30 am to 12.00 pm – Junior Soccer Challenge
· 12.00 pm to 12.30 pm – Durban Girl’s High School Drummies and Glenwood High School Band Display and Mardis Gras Parade
· 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm – East Coast Radio Adidas All-Stars Soccer Team vs The Glenwood All-Star Soccer Team
· 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm – Glenwood Prep Family Hockey Festival [TBD]

At Glenwood High School
· 8.00 am to 2.00 pm – Schools Cricket Day [TBD]
SUNDAY 11 SEPTEMBER
At Churches across Glenwood and Umbilo
· Morning and Evening Services – special prayers for Glenwood and Umbilo
At Bulwer Park – alongside the KZNSA Gallery
· 10.00 am to 3.00 pm – The Glenwood Food Lover’s Market – come and enjoy a variety of nature’s produce for sale and to eat , as well as various activities to keep the kids entertained !
At Glenwood High School
· 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm – Interdenominational Church Service – Celebrating God’s Goodness – ALL WELCOME
Monetary gifts or food parcels for the Jeanette Smit Seniors’ Home in Glenwood.
PARKING FOR THE DURATION OF THE FESTIVAL WITH CAR GUARDS, SAPS AND BLUE SECURITY ON PATROL in Davenport Road, Bath Road (Bulwer Park), Davenport Centre & environs, Brand Road, Bulwer Road
